DP Hall of Fame Class 2015 - Randy "Macho Man" Savage

Growing up, there were two guys who immediately attracted my eyeballs when it came to pro wrestling, Bret "The Hitman" Hart and Randy "Macho Man" Savage. Savage was my first guy, dating back to my first years as a pro wrestling fan. The guy had it all: the crazy look, the flashy outfits, the incredible promos that hooked you, and, of course, the athleticism inside the ring.

To this day, Savage is still, at least in my eyes, one of the greatest all-around wrestlers to EVER grace a ring. I know we all have our opinions, but again, to me, Savage was special. He was the definition of a larger-than-life character.

In fact, I am such a big fan of Savage that I uttered the words, "ooooooh yeah" with a finger twirl at my wedding. After all, the wedding of Savage to Miss Elizabeth at Summerslam '92 was by far the coolest thing ever! And partly, because there is something slightly wrong with me in having to incorporate pro wrestling into a life-changing moment like marriage. Such is life. I'm nuts.

Now, if I recited some of those infamous Macho Man promo quotes into my vows, I would have to agree I may need mental help:

"We're in space! And Space is the place!"

"The madness is runnin' wild!"

"Oooooh yeeeah! I want everybody to freak out! Freak out! The Macho Man is right here, and I'm gonna take it to the limit! Yeah!"

"Best there is... past, present and future! Ohhhhh yeahhhh!"

""I'm too hot to handle and too cold to hold!"

And my all-time favorite...

"The tower of power, too sweet to be sour, ohhhh yeahh!"

Nonetheless, Savage is awesome, and now is the 6th induction into the DP Page of Fame. Ohhh yeeeeah, dig it!

Dome Pondering Move Review: Say You Will (2017)

What is it about? A recent high school graduate cares for his mother while attempting to navigate his first relationship following his father's suicide.  Who is in it? Travis Tope - Sam Nimitz Katherine Hughes - Ellie Vaughn Favorite Scene: [spoiler alert] Sam plays his song for his mom. Favorite Quote: Ellie: "I wish we could have met down the road, maybe when we were like 27." Sam: "I think we needed each other now." Review:  Say You Will was an absolutely pleasant surprise of a watch from the Amazon Prime offerings.  I wasn't exactly sure what to expect with this one, but after the credits rolled, it was a movie that provided authentic characters and a great lesson on life. We don't always have to have everything figured out, and it's okay if you don't.  What makes Say You Will so beautiful is that all of the characters are carrying some inner struggle that connects them in the moment and time that helps them through whatever it is. The unlike...

Dome Pondering - 2025 Year in Review

2025 brought depth and growth.  In many ways, 2025 provided so many challenges and opportunities, allowing for a deeper, more layered approach to the world we live in. Our world is changing, and often, not for the better. Over the last 365 days, life has been more complex, more exhausting, and is asking so much more of us through these transitions and nuances than it did 365 days ago.  No big deal, right?  But hey, you're here. We're here. And we're going into 2026 much stronger, whether we realize it or not. But before we do, let's bid adieu to 2025.  As always, I'm incredibly gratefu l to those of you who still visit this little speck of the internet that houses my thoughts, rambles, and learnings. Thank you for taking a break from instant dopamine hits and videos, and likely the much cooler options of prepared content and indulging my humbled words. It is much appreciated.  It's the 20th annual - TWENTY YEARS of doing this! - Dome Pondering Year in Review. Le...

Knicks Win the 2025 NBA Cup - Hang the Banner!

Whoa...  The New York Knicks have won something - anything - in my lifetime! They are the 2025 NBA Cup Champions! No, you won't find any discourse delegtimizing the NBA Cup here. I actually enjoy the concept (more on that in a bit).  In a remarkable Cup Final game, my freakin! New York Knicks defeated the San Antonio Spurs, 124-113. In a concept that provides a trophy and displays a super high-level of basketball (in December), my Knicks won it all. They beat everyone. WHOLE SQUAD HYPED! THE KNICKS TAKE HOME THE CUP 🎉 https://t.co/FBAGlec7Z8 pic.twitter.com/J25TQKPTCq — NBA (@NBA) December 17, 2025 Man, I prayed for times like this... Nope, there is no discounting or cutting into my excitement. And no, don't tell me it's not "legitimate".  I sat on my couch just as nervous as I am for basketball in April and May. I want the Knicks to win...always. Whether it's the NBA Cup, the NBA Playoffs, or it's the Charlotte Hornets on a Tuesday night in November....
