Sunday Sundown Rundown - 6/2/19

1. Loyola High School (Detroit) - In a nation where education inequality is something rarely found in inner city environments, Loyola High School in Detroit, Michigan not only boasts a graduating class that will ALL being accepted to college - Yes, 100% of the graduating class - but, the school emphasizes community work and strong character. Much props to the staff and administration at Loyola H.S.

2. Toronto Raptors - Sure, the squad is in the NBA Finals. But most impressive is the fact that the entire Toronto Raptors roster has NO lottery picks. None. Not one. That's damn impressive.

3. Women's College World Series - I love the College World Series, but there is something special going on in the world of softball and everything that has been the women's College World Series. So much drama, and so much fun to witness thus far.

1. Virgina Beach Mass Shooting - Awful. Just, awful. When is enough, well...enough?

2. Midwest Tornadoes - Not much has been made about it, but the crazy weather ravaging the midwest and ruining lives has been horrific. Especially so in Ohio. My heart goes out to so many who have lost their homes, and possibly more.

3. MLB Guarding Nets - Hey, MLB! Extend the nets. Don't wait for a fatality. Don't. Just get it done NOW.

1. Drake Coverage - I'm not blaming Drake for his antics during these NBA Finals. He can't help himself. Really, he's been doing this for so long. It's why he's gained such a following. This one falls on the media for the constant camera shots, discussions, and references to anything Drake. Really, it's not Drake who bothers me, it's the idea that he's getting more attention than the people who should have it. You know, like the Toronto Raptors? Just blogging...

Would You Rather: Questions 121-130

This edition of "Would You Rather" is credited to the NBA Would You Rather NBA Account on Instagram ( See Here ). Adding to the fun, this edition (and possibly future ones) are all NBA basketball questions.  121. Who would you rather have on your favorite NBA team - Giannis Antetokounpo or James Harden?  Seeing how I'm a lifelong suffering Knicks fan, the thought of any of these guys in blue and orange is hard to believe. With that said, I'm taking the Greek Freak for this reason - I enjoy watching him play a bit more. Nothing against Harden who is amazing as well, but at times, the ball sticks and that isn't always fun. Plus, I feel like we haven't yet seen a finished Giannis. 122. Dome Pondering Movie Review: In a Relationship (2018)

What is it about?  Following the progression of two couples over the course of a summer.  Who is in it? Emma Roberts - Hallie Michael Ambrano - Owen Dree Hemingway - Willa Patrick Gibson - Matt Favorite Scene:  [Spoiler Alert] Matt and Villa sit on the stairs, and he admits to not wanting to introduce Willa to his parents.  Favorite Quote:  I don't... I don't think you ever find someone... you don't resent. And that's part of it. It's just... find the person you *want* to resent, you know. Review:  This was a weird film. The opener had much promise, but as the film continued, it felt like it was just getting longer.  My biggest gripe with the film is that I liked each of the characters less as I got to know them. I understand that the film attempted to highlight the modern relationship for a specific generation, and in certain ways, it succeeded in doing so. Sunday Sundown Rundown - 8/27/17

3 Up 1. MLB Players Weekend - The (insane) traditionalists had a problem with it, but the weekend produced plenty of fun games and moments, and gave fans and players a really cool weekend to be themselves and enjoy the game. I have a ton of stuff to share in the next Dope Sports Threads. Overall, can't wait for the next one... 2. MTV VMA's - Look, there were moments I had no idea what was going on, and I thought Katy Perry was incredibly awkward as the host. However, the moments that promoted fights against hate and empowered people to be themselves were awesome. Especially, Pink's speech - such good stuff. The VMA's still have plenty of work to do though under their new management. 3. Giancarlo Stanton - I think he just hit another home run. The guy has 50(!) and we're not into September, yet.
