365 Thought Provoking Questions. Answered: #82-97

82. Do you own your things or do your things own you?

Well, if you talk to my tag team partner, I'm sure she would say that my mobile phone owns me, more specifically, twitter. However, despite being connected to the world and its on goings, I'm not a complicated guy that is overly interested with gadgets, technical things, and/or various electronics. I love my car, my phone, my television screen, my PlayStation 2 (yes, I still play it), and my X-box 360. And I own these things. I understand they can be replaced, and I'm not completely attached. And oh yeah, I love my wife, too.

83. Would you rather lose all of your old memories or never be able to make new ones?

Never be able to make new ones. While the memories I have or will make in the future I'm sure can be great, I truly believe your childhood memories are the ones you hold dear to your heart. I have no idea what the future holds, but my childhood, which was awesome, can never be taken away at this point.

84. How do you deal with someone in a position of power who wants you to fail?

Take it. Bear it. Wear it. And turn haters into believers through hard work and determination. That's it. I've always been a person that responds to negative reinforcement, however it may be delivered.

85. What do you have that you cannot live without?

Awesomeness. Ha!

Truthfully, my faith.

86. When you close your eyes what do you see?

Okay, I really had to close my eyes to answer this. What I see is clear blue water, a bright sun, and lots of sand. Keep in mind I am writing this DP Post on a Friday afternoon from my office.

87. What sustains you on a daily basis?

The thought of improving my life. Either you improve or you decline as an overall person, everyday. This is supported by the sub-thoughts of having new experiences, meeting new people, adapting, and reacting to this race called life.

Every morning, is a new canvas.

88. What are your top five personal values?

In order:

1. Humility 2. Unselfishness/Generosity 3. Honesty 4. Integrity 5. Gratitude

89. Why must you love someone enough to let them go?

To see if its real. Whether it can endure the boundaries, hurdles, and hiccups that love truly overcomes. Also, sometimes if you truly love someone, you will know that their happiness sometimes may require leaving you.

90. Do you ever celebrate the green lights?

All the time. What's better than green lights all the way for a few blocks? A slice of awesomeness in life.

91. What personal prisons have you built out of fears?

Oh wow. This is a really good one. I guess my answer would be taking huge risks. A risk along the idea of being life-changing. I can adapt to change, but it really scares me. I've created a personal prison to keep things as much as the same as I can until a big change is needed. And when it is, you can rest asssure I will over-calculate it.

92. What one thing have you not done that you really want to do?

I would love to go to Fenway Park for a Yankees/Red Sox game. Simple, I know. But to me, that would be pretty sweet. And of course, the Yankees should win in my version of the trip.

93. Why are you, you?

Umm, because I am me?

Once again, I hate talking about myself. Maybe that's yet another personal prison. But what makes me, me, I guess are my natural birth limitations, my experiences, and the overall philosophy of keeping life simple than the complexity that we make it.

94. If you haven’t achieved it yet what do you have to lose?

I'd love to visit all 30 MLB ballparks and tour the world. What do I have to lose, everything in my bank account.

95. What three words would you use to describe the last three months of your life?

Once again, in order:

1. Change 2. Fast 3. Awesome.

96. Is it ever right to do the wrong thing?  Is it ever wrong to do the right thing?

Right and wrong will always be a cause for debate depending on moral and ethical levels and values. However, doing the right thing is never wrong, despite sometimes being unpopular. On the other end of the spectrum, the only time it is right to do the wrong thing is to protect someone from unlawful harm in anyway.

97. How would you describe ‘freedom’ in your own words?

Freedom is the ability to speak, think, believe, do, or react in any way that is not influenced by others, and that does not cause harm to another person's character, financial being, or overall well-being.

Freedom is a simplicity that is achieved without dependencies, and has a thoroughly searched truth for the way you form and live your life.

Dome Pondering Move Review: Say You Will (2017)

What is it about? A recent high school graduate cares for his mother while attempting to navigate his first relationship following his father's suicide.  Who is in it? Travis Tope - Sam Nimitz Katherine Hughes - Ellie Vaughn Favorite Scene: [spoiler alert] Sam plays his song for his mom. Favorite Quote: Ellie: "I wish we could have met down the road, maybe when we were like 27." Sam: "I think we needed each other now." Review:  Say You Will was an absolutely pleasant surprise of a watch from the Amazon Prime offerings.  I wasn't exactly sure what to expect with this one, but after the credits rolled, it was a movie that provided authentic characters and a great lesson on life. We don't always have to have everything figured out, and it's okay if you don't.  What makes Say You Will so beautiful is that all of the characters are carrying some inner struggle that connects them in the moment and time that helps them through whatever it is. The unlike...

Yankees 2025 Postseason - Ponderings and Stuff

Because of the response I received last year for my ponderings on last year's World Series , I decided to do the same for this year's MLB Postseason run. I'll drop some quick ponderings on the Yankees and their playoff run here. Because, well, I don't do "response videos".  Yeah, still a words guy. Still a nerd. Nonetheless, who knows? If the Yankees drop a quick two to the despised Boston Red Sox, this might be a quick wrap-up. Orrrrrrrrrr, we're looking at a collection of thoughts for a World Series title.  I'll calm down.  Dropping some ponderings below - thanks in advance for following along... --- Game 1  Red Sox d. Yankees, 3-1 (BOS leads series 1-0) And. Here. We. Go. [in your favorite Joker voice] Yankee fandom is likely going to be in full insufferable panic mode after this loss. I'm expecting the usual takes of "it's Boone's fault" and something to do with Cashman, and other bad takes on why "they trust anayltics ...
