Review:

The Five Year Engagement is the definition of a disappointing film. Seriously. The plot line is in-line with the recent depictions of emphasizing the comedy from some of life's hardships. It's a good plot, especially when considering the dynamic of long-term engagements, and of course, the intimate relationship.

However, this film suffers not from just overall quality, but sheer expectations. With a unique base-plot, and a tremendous host of stars and talent throughout the film, it just doesn't deliver. TFYE goes on a wild ride in the plot that really hurts the film, and is just too vanilla in it's overall attempt to entertain.

Again, with a cast that boasts talent from some of the common funny-flicks, one would have high expectations. But this one just falls flat from poor writing. Simple as that.

Not an overly terrible film, but not great. Wait for a rainy or sick day for this one.

But, I needed the time to gather my thoughts and feelings, reject the crazy hot takes and absurd opinions, and adjust to some of the immediate changes the Knicks made.  So here we go:  Immediate Thoughts This was easily! - my favorite Knicks season and team since 1998-1999. I know I said that last year, but this era of Knicks basketball has provided me with such luxury to move the goal posts and update these personal lists.  I genuinely loved this run despite its ending.  Jalen Brunson's shot in the Detroit Pistons series ...
