Sunday Sundown Rundown - 3/1/15

3 Up

1. Rhonda Rousey - Another fight, another quick win. Like fourteen seconds quick. Thanks for coming Cat Zingano. Who is next for Rousey?

2. Garnett's Return Home - Not only is it really cool to see Kevin Garnett return to Minnesota, but the whole entire ordeal has been a lot of goodness. From the Timberwolves intro video for him and Garnett buying 1000 tickets for fans, it's been really nice to see the return unfold. I wish we see more athletes stick with franchises for the duration of their careers.

3. Josh Hamilton Transparency - I touched base on this earlier this week (Josh Hamilton's Recent Relapse Great Lesson in Human Vulnerability), but to see Hamilton turn himself in and continue to ask for help is honorable. His transparency with his addiction is very respectable.

3 Down

1. Derek Rose - Another season, another injury. It seems Derek Rose can't catch a break, and neither can Bulls fans who await the year when they will have their full team to make a title run. Rose may never be the same again, and that's such a shame.

2. Kanye West - What you did at the Grammys was typical. However, if you wanted to apologize to Beck, at least do it face-to-face. C'mon, apologizing over Twitter?! Be better than that. Especially, after what you did.

3. Stolen Cup Car - How can one lose a NASCAR? Seriously, if you stole that, what do with it? You can't drive it, and if you did, you have about five minutes before you're caught. Don't get it, but sports fandom is pretty crazy.

1 Pointless

1. The White and Gold Dress - The debate and phenomenon over this is stupid, idiotic, and yes, pointless. We need help.

Would You Rather: Questions 121-130

This edition of "Would You Rather" is credited to the NBA Would You Rather NBA Account on Instagram ( See Here ). Adding to the fun, this edition (and possibly future ones) are all NBA basketball questions.  121. Who would you rather have on your favorite NBA team - Giannis Antetokounpo or James Harden?  Seeing how I'm a lifelong suffering Knicks fan, the thought of any of these guys in blue and orange is hard to believe. With that said, I'm taking the Greek Freak for this reason - I enjoy watching him play a bit more. Nothing against Harden who is amazing as well, but at times, the ball sticks and that isn't always fun. Plus, I feel like we haven't yet seen a finished Giannis. 122. Would you rather have Giannis Antetokounpo with no driving ability or James Harden with no Three-Point shooting ability?  This is definitely a weird and unique one, but I'll take Harden. Giannis without his strength doesn't offer much. However, if Harden's d...

Dome Pondering Movie Review: Good Posture (2019)

What is it about?  A young woman, stumped by laziness, unaccountability, and a lack of guidance, comes of age through an encounter with a closed-off writer.  Who is in it? Grace Van Patten - Lillian Emily Mortimer - Julia Price Favorite Scene: Julia runs into Nate and his new girlfriend.  Favorite Quote: "Lillian, desperate for affirmation, how deep does it go? Review: Good Posture was an impulse add to my "Watch List" on Amazon Prime, and I finally got around to watching.  The film is a mixed bag, ripe for a deep connection through so many opportunities, yet shallow in other areas of character development and plot. Don't get me wrong, Good Posture is a decent film; for the nerds, you'll get "Finding Forrester" vibes but not quite the same impact. Good Posture leaves it up to the imagination regarding the characters, and in some aspects, how they truly connect. There are a lot of subtleties that are unexplained (intentional or not) that do make you wond...

WWE SummerSlam 2026 Review: "Oba is made in the shade" & Roman vs. Seth Captures Magic

I can't say I was excited about SummerSlam heading into the event. Some storylines have moved me, but, much like pro wrestling in 2026, it feels like yet another incomplete creative vehicle (some good, some bad), with the hope that the event itself will overcome the shortcomings of the hype.  Admittedly, WWE could pull this off this weekend with some memorable moments (and outcomes), specifically from the two main title matches and from Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar. Maybe a return or two as well. Chances are, they likely will.  Personally, I have Penta vs. Chad Gable circled. I might be the only one, I know.  Nonetheless, happy SummerSlam weekend, everyone.  --- Random Tidbits Is it me, or were the overall vibes going into this year's SummerSlam just...well, off? I've already cited build, but there was just something else...ah well.  I know attendance is always a discussion point, but 30K+ is still pretty dam impressive for each night.  The stage was VERY impr...
