Sunday Sundown Rundown - 12/4/16

1. Alan Horujko - Kudos to officer Horujko who reacted quickly and effectively and was able to take down the Ohio State active shooter. Such a crazy world we live in. Who knows what kind of horror could have been if not for his heroism?

2. Trevor Noah - I'm not a fan of Tomi Lahren. I know she has plenty of followers for her viewpoints, but some of her comments are just downright imflammatory. I believe she knows this, and like many, plays off of the fears and anger of many. Regardless, I commend her for doing the Trevor Noah interview. And of course, much props to Noah who handled it fairly, yet, really stuck it to Lahren who was unable to answer a few poignant questions - more on this below. Noah was absolutely fantastic in this interview, and really made me into a fan of his. 

3. Russell Westbrook - Anyone else in the world of sports more locked in than this dude? Holy triple doubles, Batman!

1. Ohio State Shooting - An obvious one here. I'm so sick of mass shootings. I'm so burned out on this plaguing occurrence in our society. 

2. "Black Protest" Question - Trevor Noah's question to Tomi Lahren of "how is a black man supposed to protest in this country?" really peaked my interest. Because really, "how" is a damned good question considering the backlash of various stances recently. Of course, Lahren dodged the question. Ugh. 

3. Trump's China Tweet - Forget the SNL Tweet, which I just chalk up as Trump being Trump. But calling out China over Twitter. Like, seriously? Really? The next four years really are going to be interesting.

What is it about? A recent high school graduate cares for his mother while attempting to navigate his first relationship following his father's suicide.  Who is in it? Travis Tope - Sam Nimitz Katherine Hughes - Ellie Vaughn Favorite Scene: [spoiler alert] Sam plays his song for his mom. Favorite Quote: Ellie: "I wish we could have met down the road, maybe when we were like 27." Sam: "I think we needed each other now." Review:  Say You Will was an absolutely pleasant surprise of a watch from the Amazon Prime offerings.  I wasn't exactly sure what to expect with this one, but after the credits rolled, it was a movie that provided authentic characters and a great lesson on life. We don't always have to have everything figured out, and it's okay if you don't.  What makes Say You Will so beautiful is that all of the characters are carrying some inner struggle that connects them in the moment and time that helps them through whatever it is. This edition of "Would You Rather" is credited to the NBA Would You Rather NBA Account on Instagram ( See Here ). Adding to the fun, this edition (and possibly future ones) are all NBA basketball questions.  121. Who would you rather have on your favorite NBA team - Giannis Antetokounpo or James Harden?  Seeing how I'm a lifelong suffering Knicks fan, the thought of any of these guys in blue and orange is hard to believe. With that said, I'm taking the Greek Freak for this reason - I enjoy watching him play a bit more. Nothing against Harden who is amazing as well, but at times, the ball sticks and that isn't always fun. Plus, I feel like we haven't yet seen a finished Giannis. 122. Sunday Sundown Rundown - 3/22/26

Airports, TSA, and Safety We all get frustrated with work. Whatever your work environment is, or whatever it is you do for a living, there is always a time or something that bothers you.  This week I'm thinking about TSA agents. They deal with people - come on now, they deal with the same people we people watch and shake our heads to at the airport - every single day. And for the last couple of weeks, they haven't been paid. How's that for frustrated and unfair?  And if the situation wasn't weird enough, ICE agents will begin working at airports tomorrow as part of their enforcement duties.  Travel just got more weird. My heart is with so many of the working TSA agents - be kind to them, ya'll. And airports have just become the most politicized places in the country.  What a time...
