Sunday Sundown Rundown - 1/22/17

1. Worldwide Women's March - This was really cool. Not only were the marches on Washington, but they spread throughout the country and even overseas. These are issues for all, and it's good to see people use that power to make their point and to be change they would like to see. 

2. Teacher Educating Children Under Bridge - I loved everything about this story. The idea of underprivileged children being taught is heartwarming. It's even more surreal when you view the pictures. 

3. President Trump's Speech - Look, giving props to the current President doesn't seem to be en vogue right now. However, I'm going to give the guy some credit for his inauguration speech, which I felt was his best speech yet.

1. "Alternative Facts" - My goodness, the world has gone mad when it comes to information, truth, and the dispensary of it all. "Alternative facts" is a ridiculous term, and yes, even more so is the moronic debate over attendance at the inauguration. Who cares?! And that's for both - and all - sides of the political spectrum. 

2. Yordana Ventura and Andy Marte - Such a tragic loss for the game of baseball. Months since the loss of Jose Fernandez, the game loses the young star, Ventura, and a grizzled veteran in Marte on the same day to car accidents. 

3. Westbrook Snub - NBA All-Star voting has always been the worse. Maybe the Russians have been hacking them for years? Kidding. But seriously, how does any respecting fan not vote for Westbrook over Curry? How can you average a triple-double and NOT be elected to the game?

1. Madonna - Her remarks about the White House were idiotic. I'm all for protests, but that comment was just stupid.

Would You Rather: Questions 121-130

This edition of "Would You Rather" is credited to the NBA Would You Rather NBA Account on Instagram ( See Here ). Adding to the fun, this edition (and possibly future ones) are all NBA basketball questions.  121. Who would you rather have on your favorite NBA team - Giannis Antetokounpo or James Harden?  Seeing how I'm a lifelong suffering Knicks fan, the thought of any of these guys in blue and orange is hard to believe. With that said, I'm taking the Greek Freak for this reason - I enjoy watching him play a bit more. Nothing against Harden who is amazing as well, but at times, the ball sticks and that isn't always fun. Plus, I feel like we haven't yet seen a finished Giannis. 122. Knicks Postseason 2026, Conference Finals vs. Cleveland Cavaliers

It feels like forever since we've played.  But we've got our opponent, and it's go time!  Review Thoughts from Round 1 Review Thoughts from Round 2 Like every other Knick fan, I too hoped for a seven-game series between the Detroit Pistons and the Cleveland Cavaliers, and that's what we got. The long series added time for our squad to rest up (get healthy, OG!) and more time to scout exactly what we'll have to deal with in the Eastern Conference Finals.  We've been here before, and a trip to the NBA Finals once again feels all too close. All too real!  The Cavaliers present some interesting dynamics with their electric backcourt and the size up front with Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen. There are also two players on the roster, Dennis Schroder and Max Strus, who often find ways to stick it to the Knicks. The Pondering 10 - Favorite Knicks Head Coaches

I'm still on a championship high (probably until Banner night in October to be honest), so I'm dropping more Pondering 10s as my brain (and heart) works through all of the emotions and reflection from my beloved New York Knicks - 2025-2026 NBA Champions!  Let's talk coaches.  We've been through so many. My fellow Knicks fans, we've seen so many coaches walk the sidelines of Madison Square Garden, and the recent championship is so amazing to think about - Mike Brown, one year, title.  With that said, here is a list of my favorite Knicks Coaches (in my lifetime, so no Red Holtzman).
