Sunday Sundown Rundown - 6/25/17

1. 88 Kids Adopted - This story of a couple adopting 88 kids, all with special needs, over the past four decades is downright remarkable. Enough cannot be said about the big heart and commitment to humanity that this couple embodies. Can we get more news like this in the mainstream cycle? 

2. Big 3 League - I have to say, I absolutely love the idea Ice Cube has made into a reality. The idea of 3-on-3 basketball with former NBA players who can still ball is very intriguing. I missed out on attending the first event which was here in Brooklyn today, but plan to catch the airing of the broadcasts. Again, much respect to Ice Cube. I love innovation in sports. 

3. NBA Draft Experience - As you say in my latest post, I had the luxury of attending the NBA Draft this week and it was a fun experience. I still wouldn't pay to attend (which I doubt many in attendance did), but the production and the fandom was great. The NBA definitely knows how to put on a spectacle.

1. Cop Who Shot Philando Castille - Acquitted? Ridiculous. That's all I'll say about this. Black and brown bodies continue to be killed for nothing in this country. SMH. 

2. Phillipines ISIS Takeover - If we thought the battle against ISIS was in the Middle East, think again. The awful group apparently is making strides in takeover portions of the Phillipines. Pray for those out East. 

3. Dan Gilbert - A pro general manager makes it to three straight NBA Finals and wins a championship, and is not extended. Dan Gilbert is apparently attempting to undercut James Dolan for most incompetent owner in the NBA.

Would You Rather: Questions 121-130

This edition of "Would You Rather" is credited to the NBA Would You Rather NBA Account on Instagram ( See Here ). Adding to the fun, this edition (and possibly future ones) are all NBA basketball questions.  121. Who would you rather have on your favorite NBA team - Giannis Antetokounpo or James Harden?  Seeing how I'm a lifelong suffering Knicks fan, the thought of any of these guys in blue and orange is hard to believe. With that said, I'm taking the Greek Freak for this reason - I enjoy watching him play a bit more. Nothing against Harden who is amazing as well, but at times, the ball sticks and that isn't always fun. Plus, I feel like we haven't yet seen a finished Giannis. 122. The Pondering 10 - Yankees All-Decade Team for 2010s

I thought I would stay away from the "all-decade" shenanigans, but I got suckered in after all. Around here, end of year rankings, reviews, and reflections rule, so why not compose a list that embodies it all? And why not put together a list around my beloved Yankees? Especially in a decade in which they DID NOT win the World Series. Gasp! Sunday Sundown Rundown - 8/30/26

The Sunday Sundown Rundown (formerly in the format of "3 Up and 3 Down") is where I share thoughts on three topics that piqued my interest, along with my favorite photo from the week. Nepal Floods The videos were incredible. It almost seemed too impressive to be real. A.I. maybe?  Nonetheless, everything we saw was legit. And in wrapping my mind around the authenticity of the scenes in those videos of the waves just crashing over towns...my mind knows those people had no shot. And my heart simply breaks for the country and people of Nepal.  I simply cannot fathom the devastation, despair, and emotions for those in Nepal.  Dolly Parton I wouldn't consider myself the biggest Parton fan. I appreciated her music, and my kids are beneficiaries of the amazing program, Imagination Library .
