Sunday Sundown Rundown - 11/26/17

3 Up

1. Thanksgiving Weekend - Sure, the origins date back to Pilgrims taking land from Native Americans, but hey, our entire nation is based around such things, no? Regardless of it's history, the weekend of being thankful is still a good one for those understanding and realizing how blessed they are. It's a time for good reflection, and of course, a great mental break from everyday life.

2. North Korea Escape - Can you imagine your heart rate in attempting to make your run for freedom from North Korea? Now, can you imagine the relief and joy in actually making it? Those soldiers who took their shot at the border (for essentially their lives) are some insanely courageous individuals.

3. College Basketball - I've watched way too much college basketball this holiday weekend. But, as stated above, I'm thankful for it - especially, for those who don't really care for football, like myself. Much thanks to Phil Knight and the PK80 tournament.

3 Down

1. Egypt Terrorism - Horrific. Absolutely horrific. The number of deaths is staggering and so heartbreaking.

2. Net Neutrality - Keeping it short, the idea of doing away with this is ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. I don't want websites to bundled the way cable television currently works. Regulating pathways for internet is just ridiculous. Because, that is also stupid. Really, this whole idea is stupid.

3. Privacy of Malia Obama - I wish the ethics of letting Malia live her life, make dumb decisions, and find herself without the media jumping all over can be a really option, but unfortunately, it is not. Whoever posted the video of her "blowing circles" and making out with a guy in the parking lot needs to get a life. Just my opinion. Let the girl live. And by the way, can we not politicize her life as well?

Would You Rather: Questions 121-130

This edition of "Would You Rather" is credited to the NBA Would You Rather NBA Account on Instagram ( See Here ). Adding to the fun, this edition (and possibly future ones) are all NBA basketball questions.  121. Who would you rather have on your favorite NBA team - Giannis Antetokounpo or James Harden?  Seeing how I'm a lifelong suffering Knicks fan, the thought of any of these guys in blue and orange is hard to believe. With that said, I'm taking the Greek Freak for this reason - I enjoy watching him play a bit more. Nothing against Harden who is amazing as well, but at times, the ball sticks and that isn't always fun. Plus, I feel like we haven't yet seen a finished Giannis. 122. Would you rather have Giannis Antetokounpo with no driving ability or James Harden with no Three-Point shooting ability?  This is definitely a weird and unique one, but I'll take Harden. Giannis without his strength doesn't offer much. However, if Harden's d...

Quick Ponder: No Matter What

"You can give  everything to something, and no matter what, it is always gonna do what it's gonna do." I feel that these days. I get it.

The Pondering 10: 2026 NBA All-Star Weekend

Contrary to the discourse that always surrounds the NBA All-Star Weekend, I genuinely enjoyed the weekend, and even more so, the All-Star Game. No, for real. All love here.  Although the Dunk Contest really is on its last legs. That was tough to watch.  Nonetheless, I'm keeping it all good vibes on this one as a fan. Just a quick Pondering 10 on my favorite things from the 2026 NBA All-Star Weekend.  --- View this post on Instagram A post shared by New York Knicks 🏀 (@nyknicks) 10. JB vs. KAT Moment Big Knicks homer moment here. If you frequent these parts, you already know that. Watching the Captain go at KAT brought a moment of joy for all of us in Knicks fandom. Neither one came away with anything. I'm just glad they're in perfect health as we head toward the second half of the season with the Playoffs looming.  9. VJ Edgecomb Wins Rising Stars MVP It's a tough admit for me. Because, I already enjoy Tyrese Maxey's game so much. Now, another ...
