Competitive high school debaters move through their senior year at odds, while attempting to do everything possible to get into the colleges of their dreams.

Favorite Scene:

Julia approaches Ann for the recipe to her cookie recipe. After sitting down for a moment, the two realize that their long-standing feud had run so long, that they forgot why they even disliked one another.

Review:

If' you're looking to compare this Netflix original to the cast of others that are gems from the company, you'll be disappointed. Candy Jar is a simple movie. It's a nice coming of age film with some light humor, a few great life messages, and a small love story thrown in.

And really, the overall life message of enjoying life and the journey is the best part about this film.

Again, I picked this movie out of the daunting Netflix catalog on a Thursday afternoon while soothing my newborn. This film doesn't try to be more than what it is, and that's what makes it a very entertaining watch.

Dear Son, Uniquely Two!

--- 2 Years Old --- Dear Son,  Happy Birthday! I have to get used to you sharing a birthday with Jesus - that's still no easy thing to do.  However, you're now two years old! And while I write this, you haven't really been able to celebrate, more so your birthday. At a mere two years old, you're rife with germs and succumbed to a nasty bug, rendering you sick on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day (your birthday), and the days to follow. Everyone here for the holidays was unable to give you that moment, and really, we weren't able to get that moment on your second birthday.  The day aside, I'm grateful for the little guy that you are. 3 Up 1. Eagles Defensive Live - I'm no football aficionado or even a huge fan - but what the Eagles front four on defense did was dominating.  1a. Philadelphia Eagles - Congratulations to Eagles fans and the city of Philadelphia on the Super Bowl win.  2. Kendrick Lamar - I'm sure it'll be controversial - we all knew it would be going in.
