Sunday Sundown Rundown - 2/12/23

3 Up

1. Turkish and Syrian Rescue Teams - The entire region hit by a massive 7.8 earthquake earlier this week is in disarray. All the credit, thoughts, prayers, positive energy, and whatever else possible, towards those who are frantically rescuing those alive, or giving them a fighting chance to do so.

2. LeBron Breaks All-Time Record - It's really, really, really an impressive feat for LeBron James. And even after all of that thought and reflection, you realize the dude isn't done! LeBron can quite frankly finish with 40,000+ points. Unbelievable.

3. Biden State of the Union - I'm giving Biden some props here. With hecklers, a continuing political climate that seems only to be getting worse, and so much more, Biden delivered a great speech, and at times, pinned his opposition in various areas - specifically that point of the night where stated" ok, so we agree on social security then". Not bad for the guy everyone thinks has no fight.

3 Down

1. Turkey and Syria Earthquake - Over 28,000 people died. The region, already torn apart by war, internal conflict, and more, is now further in destruction following the massive 7.8-scale earthquake. All sorts of prayers to those in the area...

2. Ohio Train Derailment - A story we're not discussing nearly enough. I can only imagine how those substances will affect the individuals in that area. I'm getting all sorts of Erin Brokovich vibes on this one.

3. Brooklyn Nets - I can't wait for the documentary on how big of a failure this entire period was for the Nets.

1 Awesome

1. Rhianna - She comes back pregnant and delivers an amazing halftime performance. All the love and props to RiRi.

Would You Rather: Questions 121-130

This edition of "Would You Rather" is credited to the NBA Would You Rather NBA Account on Instagram ( See Here ). Adding to the fun, this edition (and possibly future ones) are all NBA basketball questions.  121. Who would you rather have on your favorite NBA team - Giannis Antetokounpo or James Harden?  Seeing how I'm a lifelong suffering Knicks fan, the thought of any of these guys in blue and orange is hard to believe. With that said, I'm taking the Greek Freak for this reason - I enjoy watching him play a bit more. Nothing against Harden who is amazing as well, but at times, the ball sticks and that isn't always fun. Plus, I feel like we haven't yet seen a finished Giannis. 122. Would you rather have Giannis Antetokounpo with no driving ability or James Harden with no Three-Point shooting ability?  This is definitely a weird and unique one, but I'll take Harden. Giannis without his strength doesn't offer much. However, if Harden's d...

Thoughts on TNA on AMC Debut: "Yup, TNA is back. It is so back."

TNA is back.  And I know that because it is heavily under scrutiny by the internet. But that criticism comes with being back on a major platform like the AMC Network, and of course, taking the next step after a super successful 2025.  So, what did I think?  The show was...ummmm okay, at best. Some of the challenges the company faced heading into this weekend were well documented among the rumor mill, which didn't bode well for the company. In balancing reported visa issues with talent, pivoting after losing core talent to free agency, and attempting to build and manage talent workload with a premium live event on Saturday, TNA found themselves in the usual TNA stuff. The most peculiar - and strangest - of situations to be in going into a big network premiere. This company, man! All in all, again, the show was okay. It had its flaws. It had some cool moments. It didn't live up to the hype (or the expectations we each had for such a premiere). But it's one show. TNA has put...

Sunday Sundown Rundown - 2/11/19

3 Up 1. Eva Ramon Gallegos Cure HPV - Could Cervical Cancer be a thing of the past? It very much looks like it as after twenty years of work, Gallegos has found a cure that completely eliminates the cancer. This is remarkable work, and it's pretty awesome to see the Mexican Medical community come together proudly in this achievement. 2. "This is America" Grammy - Finally!! Childish Gambino got some national love for the work he did on this great song, and even more so, on the overall art/video that was "This is America". Of course, he wasn't there to pick it up as the Grammys and their long standing issue with the hip-hop community continues... 3. Women at SOTU - Women continue to be bad ass in the current age. Their solidarity within the Capitol for the President's SOTU was a great sight to see. 3 Down 1. Venezuela Crisis - The country of Venezuela is in absolute shambles right now as they tussle over leadership, and really, a move toward d...
