Sunday Sundown Rundown - 5/19/24

1. Knicks - I'm biased. And you already know that. Our season ended today, and quite frankly, I'm in awe of what this team was able to overcome this season. My boys in the top spot. Don't come at me...

2.  Oleksandr Usyk - Usyk defeated Tyson Fury to become the first undisputed heavyweight champion in over 25 years! Boxing is in such an odd space when it comes to casual access for fans, but eh. This is still a big deal for the sport - too many titles! 

3. 5th Grader Beats Olympian - This was a nice story all around - but of course, mainly, a 5th grader dusting a former Olympian is quite impressive.

1. Robert Fico Assination Attempt - If the world isn't getting crazier, we've got assassination attempts on world leaders - absolutely wild. 

2. Iran President Helicopter Crash - More in the realm of political leaders, unfortunately, Iranian President, Ebrahim Raisi, is feared dead after a horrible helicopter crash. 

3. Reclassification of Marijuana - I'm okay with this. I'm just sensitive to the hundreds of thousands of individuals who were placed in prison due to marijuana use or sale. The lives - mainly families - that were ruined. The "war on drugs". And now, we simply reclassify and move on with recreational use. It does bother me...

1. Scottie Scheffler - I'm not a golf guy, so I may be missing some personality context on this one. Also, I'm not a golf guy, so I do have some objectivity. But for me, the absolute gaaaaaaaallll of this guy to do what he did and expect no repercussions! Sorry, not feeling for him at all. 

2. Presidential Debates - So, we're getting some debates going into election season. Now confirmed. And year, I'm just not all that excited. Those debates will be interesting for sure.

3. Diddy - After that video, he's done. Done. Done. Done.

Would You Rather: Questions 121-130

This edition of "Would You Rather" is credited to the NBA Would You Rather NBA Account on Instagram ( See Here ). Adding to the fun, this edition (and possibly future ones) are all NBA basketball questions.  121. Who would you rather have on your favorite NBA team - Giannis Antetokounpo or James Harden?  Seeing how I'm a lifelong suffering Knicks fan, the thought of any of these guys in blue and orange is hard to believe. With that said, I'm taking the Greek Freak for this reason - I enjoy watching him play a bit more. Nothing against Harden who is amazing as well, but at times, the ball sticks and that isn't always fun. Plus, I feel like we haven't yet seen a finished Giannis. 122. I thought I would stay away from the "all-decade" shenanigans, but I got suckered in after all. Around here, end of year rankings, reviews, and reflections rule, so why not compose a list that embodies it all? And why not put together a list around my beloved Yankees?
