1. Boston Red Sox - As much as it pains me to say this (and it very much does), the Red Sox take the top spot this week. Even further (and hurting my soul even more), they might have been the best team I've seen in my lifetime since the 1998 Yankees. Congrats to the city of Boston on (another?!?!) sports title. Ugh.

2. Roman Reigns - The news of Roman Reigns announcement that he was battling leukemia was devastating - just another case of you don't know what's going on in someone else's life. It's surreal to me personally, as I share a birthday and am the same age as someone like Reigns. Life can come at you fast, and be very cruel, no matter how hard you work. However, The Big Dog gets the "Up" here for sharing the news so publicly, including his testimony of fighting it since the age of 12. And really, the dude seemed to be taking it stronger than everyone around him - including all of us, fans. Get well soon, Roman!

3. New York Red Bulls - Speaking of best teams - The New York Red Bulls finished the MLS season with a new MLS record-setting season, 71 points and 22 record wins! And of course, with the record-setting season, the Red Bulls brought home their third Supporter's Shield. I'm definitely looking forward to the upcoming MLS playoffs - this has to be the year, right? No? Please! PLEASE!!!!

1. Pittsburgh Synagogue Shooting - What a hateful week. What is beginning to scare me is the "if-we-had-armed-forces" argument for all of this incidents becoming the soluble narrative. Where is the end on this culture for all of us? Also, as always, this is terrorism - let's call it what it is.

2. Serial Pipe Bonber -More hate. More nonsense. All of the Trump stuff aside, how crazy is the world right now when the political adversaries of YOUR political choice are deemed worthy targets of freaking bombs? Seriously, America? Is this what we're becoming?

3. Megyn Kelly - Finally, Megyn Kelly apparently doesn't see the issue with black face. More hate. But just chalk this one up as plain stupid. What's scary to me is the amount of people who either share or defend these same thoughts. SMH.

White Privilege on Terrorism - This Tweet was so true, and so amazing, and so funny...but mostly true. Couldn't be said any better on the privilege white men (among the many) have when it comes to what constitutes as terrorism.

What is it about? A recent high school graduate cares for his mother while attempting to navigate his first relationship following his father's suicide.  Who is in it? Travis Tope - Sam Nimitz Katherine Hughes - Ellie Vaughn Favorite Scene: [spoiler alert] Sam plays his song for his mom. Favorite Quote: Ellie: "I wish we could have met down the road, maybe when we were like 27." Sam: "I think we needed each other now." Review:  Say You Will was an absolutely pleasant surprise of a watch from the Amazon Prime offerings.  I wasn't exactly sure what to expect with this one, but after the credits rolled, it was a movie that provided authentic characters and a great lesson on life. We don't always have to have everything figured out, and it's okay if you don't.  What makes Say You Will so beautiful is that all of the characters are carrying some inner struggle that connects them in the moment and time that helps them through whatever it is. Yankees 2025 Postseason - Ponderings and Stuff

Because of the response I received last year for my ponderings on last year's World Series , I decided to do the same for this year's MLB Postseason run. I'll drop some quick ponderings on the Yankees and their playoff run here. Because, well, I don't do "response videos".  Yeah, still a words guy. Still a nerd. Nonetheless, who knows? If the Yankees drop a quick two to the despised Boston Red Sox, this might be a quick wrap-up. What is it about? A woman moves back in with her parents following a shocking divorce. An unlikely affair with a younger guy revives her life and perspective on marriage. Who is in it? Melanie Lynskey - Amy Christopher Abbott - Jeremy Blythe Danner - Ruth Favorite Scene: Amy's dad, who is often much easier on her than her mom, comes to her bedside and gives her some money. She refuses, then he insists. She then asks, "whose happiness are you buying?" Favorite Quote: Where the f** is 'bottom'? Where the motherf***ing f*** is motherf***ing 'bottom'? Review: Hello, I Must Be Going was an interesting watch. I've always found Melanie Lynskey to be an intriguing actor, and her role in this was just that.  What makes this film so interesting is that, going into the film, you believed this would be a film documenting Amy's journey from recent divorcee into...well, wherever it is she goes.
