Sunday Sundown Rundown - 4/3/22

3 Up

1. Bill Limiting Cost of Insulin - Kudos to the House of Reps who passed a bill to cap the price of insulin under private health insurance and Medicare. I just don't think a drug that is relatively cheap everywhere else in the world should be at insane levels here so Big Pharma can make a bigger profit. Just my opinion...

2. Jon Batiste - I didn't see the Grammys (It's Wrestlemania Weekend, sorry!), but my guy Batiste cleaned up with some hardware tonight, including album of the year. Awesome stuff and well deserved.

3. Wrestlemania Weekend - Ah yes, it was a great show. And for any older millennial or Gen X individual, there was a lot of nostalgia to enjoy. Check out my review of both nights.

3a. The Undertaker's HOF Speech - Much love to Mark Calloway, the man behind The Undertaker persona. Over 30 years of entertaining us all, he's got his rightful place in the Hall of Fame. Also, a tremendous speech on Friday night during the induction.

3 Down

1. Sacramento Mass Shooting - Another senseless, stupid, idiotic mass shooting. We spend more time arguing about what books we should read in schools than these occurrences which routinely go untouched, unfazed, and unaccounted for in our society. Just another mass shooting. Disgusting.

2. Oscar's Discussion - I'm over it. Let's all agree to stop talking about it, please. PLEASE! PLEASE!

3. Food Prices Increasing - Just when you thought gas prices were violating your wallet, here comes the monthly food expense with the realization that food prices are increasing, and the month-to-month budget for all of us just got tighter.

2 Wow!

1. Chris Smalls - I encourage everyone to read the story of Chris Smalls, who took on Amazon - Amazon! - and now has made the Staten Island warehouse the first Amazon unionized workplace. Just crazy stuff when you think about it. He took on Amazon!, and won. Definitely read.

2. March Madness - From a record-setting Women's tournament (can we invest in women's sports?) to the absolute chaos that was Saturday night's Final Four - both tournaments have been tremendous.

Would You Rather: Questions 121-130

This edition of "Would You Rather" is credited to the NBA Would You Rather NBA Account on Instagram ( See Here ). Adding to the fun, this edition (and possibly future ones) are all NBA basketball questions.  121. Who would you rather have on your favorite NBA team - Giannis Antetokounpo or James Harden?  Seeing how I'm a lifelong suffering Knicks fan, the thought of any of these guys in blue and orange is hard to believe. With that said, I'm taking the Greek Freak for this reason - I enjoy watching him play a bit more. Nothing against Harden who is amazing as well, but at times, the ball sticks and that isn't always fun. Plus, I feel like we haven't yet seen a finished Giannis. 122. Would you rather have Giannis Antetokounpo with no driving ability or James Harden with no Three-Point shooting ability?  This is definitely a weird and unique one, but I'll take Harden. Giannis without his strength doesn't offer much. However, if Harden's d...

Sunday Sundown Rundown - 2/15/26

Sunday Sundown Rundown returns! Going forward, I'll be sharing thoughts and ponderings in a format of three simple thoughts, opposed to the former "3 Up, 3 Down" of the past.   Mother of Savannah Guthrie I haven't been closely following the developments. I've checked in here and there, mostly hoping that this horrific story comes to an end. I simply continue to sympathize with concern, as not only are the emotions of having one's mother kidnapped for ransom more than enough to bear, but to have it played out publicly, before the nation, helplessly, is an unfathomable reality to understand. And of course, as all things in this culture, the story has been manipulated, pulled apart, and coerced into political representations that are not true, or at the very worst, worthy of discussion considering that someone's life - a person's mother - is at stake.  Winter Olympics It's not my favorite. Summer Olympics are my jam. Nonetheless, this Winter Olympics...

Quick Ponder: No Matter What

"You can give  everything to something, and no matter what, it is always gonna do what it's gonna do." I feel that these days. I get it.
