Review:
Forever is a film that gets better as it moves along, and ultimately, once you're able to review it collectively. In the end, it's a somewhat decent film that presents a profound message utilizing two characters that you root for, and eventually, feel for.
Lifetime, flicks - ammirite?
In the first half of the film, I found myself shaking my head - where is this going?! The build of the plot has little resistance (especially for a romance arc of Johnnie and Carlie), and at times, it can be very cheesy. However, as life does (which is a great metaphor for the second half of the film), the struggles come through, and the lessons come. The early parts of the film give a baseline for the characters, for what's to come, and how you will likely feel in the end.
It's a weird film like that. And in the end, it's worth it as a viewer. If you do watch this, stick with it through the early stages. Not bad.
