Sunday Sundown Rundown - 1/31/16

3 Up 1. Awesome Nurse - I'm not fan of snow, but I do think everyone should at least experience it. After all, it's fun as a kid. So, when Lucy, a 7 year old recovering from bone marrow transplant, as well as others in the hospital, were unable to play in the snow storm that hit the North East earlier this week, a nurse braved the cold and mess, and brought the snow in. Sometimes a kind act is more than a simple one.  2. Angelique Kerber - Beating Serena Williams is no east feat. Beating Williams in the Australian Open final for the Australian championship - very difficult. Kerber pulled off the task. On top of that, she became a Grand Slam champion with the victory.  3. Radio Hosts Owns Caller - Bigotry lives, and these days, it's coming to the point where people aren't hiding it anymore. Listen to this caller who calls all Muslims, "maggots", his reasoning for it, and how the host really shuts him down.  3 Down 1. Ka

Pondering Picture #64

Not everyday this big Knicks fan gets to sit wayyyyy down in the 100's inside the World's Most Famous Arena. Oh yeah, Knicks won, and are still undefeated whenever yours truly is in the building. You hear that, Mr. Dolan?

WWE Royal Rumble 2016 - Possibilities, Options, and Depth!

The Royal Rumble is easily one of my favorite wrestling events of the year, as I'm sure it is for many other wrestling fans. Coming into the event, I have to admit, I loved the story line in which Roman Reigns was defending the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the Rumble. Reigns gets a hard time from fans, and they are trying (like reaaaaaaallly trying) to put him in situations as the likable protagonist, and this is one I think will work.  And by the way, if you dislike Reigns because his run came so soon or felt forced, then fine. I can understand that. But other than that, I'm not sure what the hate is all about. Just two years ago many had him pinpointed in the The Shield as being a star waiting to happen. Whatevs... Anyhow, The Royal Rumble was an absolutely fantastic show from top to bottom. Really, I have zero complaints. None. Not even the one at the end of the night...yeah, that occurrence. I'll explain...but first here are some quick thoughts on

Sunday Sundown Rundown - 1/24/15

3 Up 1. Peyton Manning - There is something about redemption stories in sports that are truly inspirational. It's why sports movies continue to have the same plots. The latest chapter of Manning overcoming age, a backup QB who some think should start over him, wild HGH allegations, injuries, thoughts of impending retirement, a declining throwing arm, and the latest in beating a long time rival in Tom Brady for a Super Bowl berth is coming together nicely. Even if he doesn't win, its nice. But he's gotta, right?   2. WWE Royal Rumble - One of my favorite wrestling events of the year, the WWE absolutely killed it with a spectacular show in Orlando, Florida. The road to Wrestlemania has begun! Looking forward to it.  3. Panda Rolling in Snow - I'm not the biggest animal enthusiast, but for some reason I have an extremely soft spot for Pandas. I have no idea why. Despite my hatred for winter, snow, and everything that was this Jonas Blizzard this weekend, this

2016 Bucket List - #1 Watch LeBron James Play Live

"I'm here for LeBron!"  "Yeah, so are we" It was the brief exchange I had with a couple of Knicks fans as we briefly intersected one another's vicinity. After all, LeBron James is the type of athlete, the type of star, the type of talent that would draw anyone to watch him live against the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center. Even fans of the crosstown Knicks - who by the way were playing across the river at the same time. Regardless, again, we're talking about LeBron James here. And seeing him live was something I very much wanted to do at least once in my life. Especially, before age sets in and his super talents begin to knock him back down to earth. A thought that really feels very difficult to imagine will happen, and can happen.

Pondering with Plumtree - Time to Reconnect

Known as "The Haven for TNA Wrestling Fans", I'm hoping to bring some of my thoughts to an already impressive roster of columnist for as long as the site will have me. The Pondering 10 - My All-Time Favorite Baseball Team

Any and every sports fan has his/her favorites. Whether it be that athlete to root for, the one they enjoy watching perform, or that person they just have a personal connection with, favorites from fans are paramount and prevalent in fandom. In this Pondering 10, I will share my favorites in baseball by position to make pretty much an all-time favorite team for yours truly. And just to lay the guidelines, I am only selecting from players I have seen play during my lifetime. Will you agree, or disagree with me? Let's see!

Sunday Sundown Rundown - 1/17/16

3 Up 1. Virginia Teen Lifts Truck - We hear it all the time, "you never know what you are capable of until you have to do it." Well, a Virginia teen confirmed this when she lifted a burning truck to rescue her father. Amazing, and Thank God for the safety of her father.  2. "Dear Ted Cruz" - After that clown Ted Cruz decided to run his mouth about this wonderful City of New York, comedian Judy Gold penned a very interesting essay that not only points out Cruz's ignorance and hypocrisy when it comes to "New York Values", but that he just alienated and made an enemy in the greatest city in the world.  3. Cam Newton - How can anyone not buy into the star that is Cam Newton. Giving away TD footballs is so cool, and becomes even cooler when they produce reactions like this .  3 Down 1. Burkina Faso Terrorist Attack - Unfortunately terrorism strikes again as Al Qaeda killed 23 (18 nationalities) and injured many more at a luxury hotel

Sunday Sundown Rundown - 1/10/16

3 Up 1. El Chapo Capture - When you read and watch documentaries on El Chapo and his rise as a drug kingpin, you understand not only the need for officials to capture him, but to get knowledge on how much our Southern border is being exploited. And yes, where are all those tunnels?! 2. MLB Hall of Fame - As stated this week, it was really good to see Ken Griffey Jr. and Mike Piazza get the nod into the Hall. For me, especially Griffey, who I think helped revolutionize and inspire a generation of fans.  3. Wrestle Kingdom 10 - My goodness! After a a rather blah 2015, pro wrestling got off to an amazing start with the New Japan Pro Wrestling show on January 4th. Absolutely great show, especially the final three matches.  3 Down 1. North Korea's H-Bomb - These guys are nuts over in North Korea, and of course, now they are experimenting with bombs and stuff. Just great. As if the world doesn't have enough problems in the international affairs

Thoughts on the 2016 Baseball Hall of Fame Ballot

The 2016 MLB Hall of Fame induction ceremony this year will be highly anticipated by every baseball fan who grew up in the 90's. The selection of Ken Griffey Jr. and Mike Piazza feels well deserved, nostalgic, and honestly, an opportunity for the game of baseball to romanticize about some of the greatest - not just Hall of Famers, but GREATEST - players to have ever put on a baseball uniform.  Sometimes I wished the induction ceremonies were part of the All-Star festivities and not just a random week in the summer. I want a huge spectacle out of this! But whatevs. Regardless, as I've stated in the past, the shunning of Piazza was rather ridiculous, especially when t was based on speculation, or anticipated speculation , right Bill Madden? But I still respect Madden for disclosing and explaining his vote. That's all one can ask for.

Recent Big WWE Signings Changes Everything...For Everyone Else

If the rumors are true - and the coy dangling of the carrot by the WWE lends that it is - the acquisition of Shinsuke Nakamura (DP 2014 Male Wrestler of the Year), AJ Styles (a personal all-time favorite), Karl Anderson, and Doc Gallows trigger what seems to not only be a huge change in the landscape of pro wrestling, but possibly, a troubling one as well.  On the surface, let's just call this what it is, a big time grab for WWE. It's a power move, the type only the fellas in Stamford can pull off. They just grabbed four of the most sought after wrestlers in the world and added them to what is an already incredibly talented roster.

Dome Pondering Movie Review: Dope (2015)

What is it about? Malcolm, a geeky high schooler, has his life changed at a party in the rough neighborhood of Inglewood, California.  Who is in it?   Shameik Moore - Malcolm Tony Revolori - Jib Kiersey Clemons - Diggy

Sunday Sundown Rundown - 1/3/15

3 Up  1. Elevator Hero - Unfortunately, the new year begins with a 25 year-old man who saved a women from dying just before being crushed by a faulty elevator.  2. Tennessee Cop Donates Kidney - After learning his good friend and partner's kidneys were failing, officer Eric Crowder got tested and donated his kidneys to his partner. Always good to hear of self-less people around this time of the year.  3. Happy New Year - The new year is always a favorite time of mine as we move onto a new chapter with new goals and the opportunity for a new chapter in our lives. Happy New Year to everyone! I wish you al the very best in 2016. 3 Down 1. Militia in Oregon - I'm sorry, but if these men were brown and were doing the same thing, the media and many would be very quick to call it "Terrorism". How in the world is this consider NOT a big deal? Unbelievable... 2. Natalie Cole - She carried on the legacy of her father, Nat "King" Cole, with
