Sunday Sundown Rundown - 9/15/13

3 Up

1. Reminder of Birmingham Church Bombing - On the anniversary of the notorious Birmingham Church Bombing from 1963, it is a clear reminder of how far we've come in race relations in this country, even during recent times where those relations seem to have been tested or have taken a step backward.

2. Jim Ross - The best play-by-play announcer in pro wrestling (in my opinion) officially retired from the WWE this week. One of the greats whose voice will be missed.

3. The Fox - I completely missed this viral video until the tag team partner showed this to me. She promised me it was worth it, and quite frankly it was. I'm sure you've seen it by now (Currently over 30 million views on YouTube), but if you haven't, give it a watch. Trust me, you'll laugh.

3 Down

1. Seaside Heights Fire - It's heartbreaking to see thirty-two businesses and a community that rebuilt itself in time for the summer season following Hurricane Sandy now destroyed again by a large fire.

2. Colorado Floods - It's been a week of unfortunate happenings for cities and areas. The floods out in Colorado have destroyed a lot of property and still have over five hundred people unaccounted for.

3. C.J. Ross - How any judge can look at that Mayweather/Canelo fight and rule it a draw is unbelievable. Ross should either be investigated for corruption or tested for drug use.

Now That It's Over - Enjoyable and Pain All At Once

Welp, it's over.  Is it possible for something to be so enjoyable yet hurt so bad now that it's over?  That's the only way to describe the end of this New York Knicks season. Even after giving it a few days, ironically on the night that the NBA Finals begin - the Finals I thought we really could have gotten to - I still find myself reeling.  Everytime that damn clip of Haliburton's shot bouncing into the air and dropping in...bruh... But, I needed the time to gather my thoughts and feelings, reject the crazy hot takes and absurd opinions, and adjust to some of the immediate changes the Knicks made.  So here we go:  Immediate Thoughts This was easily! - my favorite Knicks season and team since 1998-1999. I know I said that last year, but this era of Knicks basketball has provided me with such luxury to move the goal posts and update these personal lists.  I genuinely loved this run despite its ending.  Jalen Brunson's shot in the Detroit Pistons series ...
